The Division of Legal Services provides legal assistance to the Secretary, department managers, and staff regarding the administration of departmental duties and responsibilities. This includes providing legal services to boards and commissions that are attached to the department. We provide assistance and advice on issues such as procurement, contracting, administrative rule drafting and interpretation, construction, budget development, public records law and other agency activities.
We also serve executive branch agencies and independent state boards, offices and commissions on statewide issues to bring greater consistency to state contracting, procurement, and other common activities.
